Shri Krishna AYUSH University organised a national seminar titled “Bhagavad Gita Paradigm: A Holistic Approach to Health Challenges” on Tuesday.

Chief guest Prof Ved Prakash Mishra, Pro-Chancellor of DMIHER, Nagpur, said as long as a person is stuck in the feelings of “I” and “me,” he/she cannot be free from ego or confusion.

He said Gita was the world’s first great message delivered in the middle of a Mahabharata.

Gita scholar Gyananand said Arjuna was a brave warrior who had never lost, yet he became emotionally disturbed at Kurukshetra. Lord Krishna then gave the Gita as guidance for all humanity.

He said the Gita provides both direction in life and the power to reach one’s destination.

Prof BB Agrawal, Senior Surgeon at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, said Gita, Ayurveda and modern medicine teach the same core principle, the importance of mental balance. Our health depends greatly on our thoughts and emotions, he said. Shri Krishna AYUSH University Vice-Chancellor Prof Vaidya Kartar Singh Dhiman said this seminar helped students and experts understand the Gita’s philosophical and health-related teachings.
