Hisar, February 27
The Bhiwani police today registered a case of criminal breach of trust against the owner of a private hospital on the complaint of a patient holding an Ayushman Card.
The complainant, Hosiar Singh of Sakna Lad village in Bhiwani district, alleged that he had received treatment for a heart ailment at the private hospital in December 2021. During his visit to the hospital, he showed a picture of his Ayushman Card in his mobile phone to the authorities as he had forgotton to carry the card. The hospital asked him to deposit Rs 1.85 lakh then and assured him that the amount would be returned to him when he showed his original Ayushman Card. However, the hospital did not return the money even when he showed him the original card.
The complainant took up the matter at the CM Window, which, too, disposed of the matter in favour of the complainant. But, the hospital remained adamant and did not return the money.
Now, a criminal case has been registered under Section 406 of the IPC. The police said they had started an investigation in the matter.
