Ballabhgarh police station among best in nation: Survey

A nationwide survey conducted in 2024 on behalf of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has recognised Ballabhgarh City Police Station as one of the best-performing police stations in Haryana and among the top in the country. The achievement has brought a wave of pride and joy to the local police department.
The survey, carried out by M/s Trans Agri Rural Consulting Services, an NGO commissioned by the MHA, evaluated selected police stations based on various criteria. These included building infrastructure, amenities, crime and criminal tracking networks, record maintenance, crime analysis methodologies, accessibility and feedback from citizens.
As part of the MHA’s annual exercise to rank the best police stations in the country, the Ballabhgarh Police Station was one of two from Haryana assessed during the survey conducted in the last week of September 2023, according to department officials. The police station secured the 12th spot among 35 stations listed nationwide in the MHA’s recently released rankings.
Inspector Mahender Singh, who served as the Station House Officer (SHO) during the survey, expressed his satisfaction at the recognition. “It is a matter of great pride and satisfaction to have met the expectations of the survey team. This achievement is the result of the collective efforts of the staff posted at the station,” he said.
Satender Kumar Gupta, Commissioner of Police, Faridabad, also shared his enthusiasm for the achievement. “It is a moment of felicity and joy for the department. The Ballabhgarh Police Station’s performance will inspire other stations and personnel to enhance the department’s image and credibility among citizens. This ranking will encourage better governance at the grassroots level,” he said.
