Ban orders flouted during conduct of Teacher Eligibility Test in Rohtak
The Level-3 (PGT) examination of Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test conducted by the Board of School Education, Haryana, in the evening session was completed smoothly in Rohtak district.
However, the orders banning the opening of photostat shops and cyber cafes etc located in the vicinity of the examination centres, which were passed by the District Magistrate under Section 163 of the Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, were flouted as many such shops remained open.
Meanwhile, in a statement issued here on Wednesday, the district administration said all necessary arrangements were made to ensure the peaceful conduct of the examination.
The examination for Level-2 (TGT) and Level-1 (PRT) will be conducted on July 31 in the morning and evening sessions, respectively.
Rohtak Deputy Commissioner Dharmender Singh said HTET Level-3 examination was conducted at 27 examination centres in the district on Wednesday.
“The district administration has deployed duty magistrates and flying squads to ensure peaceful conduct of the examination. HTET question papers were delivered to the examination centres from the local Treasury office amid police protection and after the completion of the examination, the answer sheets were brought back to the treasury office from the examination centres amid police protection,” he stated.
The Deputy Commissioner informed the media that 41 examination centres were set up in the district for the Level-2 (TGT) examination in the morning session on July 31. The examination will be conducted from 10 am to 12:30 pm.
The Level-1 (PRT) examination will be conducted at 15 examination centres across the district in the evening session from 3 pm to 5:30 pm.
Singh said as per the instructions issued by the Board of School Education, Haryana, the candidates should reach their examination centre 2 hours and 10 minutes before the scheduled time of the examination so that mandatory formalities like metal-detector search and biometric etc could be carried out.
“The candidates should carry two copies of their admit card, including a coloured printout of the exam centre copy and the candidate’s copy, with them,” he said, adding that it is also necessary to get the coloured photograph used with their online application pasted on both copies of the admit card and attested by a gazetted officer.
