Bank manager dies in car mishap

In a tragic incident, a bank manager was burnt alive when his car caught fire near the Manphara turn in Loharu town of Bhiwani district today morning. The deceased, Vikas Kumar, was on his way to Jaipur for official work when the car caught fire, reportedly due to a technical snag in the vehicle. The blaze spread so rapidly that he could not escape from the car in time.

The police rushed to the spot after being informed by bystanders who saw the burning car. However, by the time the flames were doused, the car occupant had already died. His body was sent to a local hospital and later to the Civil Hospital in Bhiwani for the post-mortem examination.

Vikas Kumar, a resident of Chahar Kalan in Loharu, was serving as a manager at Sarva Haryana Gramin Bank in Sirsa. He was travelling alone at the time of the incident early Monday morning. According to Sub-Inspector Satyapal of the Loharu police station the car caught fire between the Manphara turn and Kharkhadi Road due to an apparent technical snag in the vehicle. The victim got married on March 6, 2024, and is survived by a newborn and his wife besides other family members.
