Panipat, August 3
An officer of Punjab National Bank (PNB) was found dead in a hotel under suspicious circumstances late last night. The police reached the spot and began investigating the matter.
The deceased was identified as 45-year-old Rakesh Kumar of Rudrapur in Uttarakhand. He was posted as chief manager at the CBP branch of the PNB for over four years.
Sources said he was not well and was staying in the hotel here. His condition deteriorated late last evening. After getting information, the hotel staff called his family members, but no one arrived. He was later found dead.
His body was handed over to his family after a postmortem examination at the local Civil Hospital on Saturday.
