In a shocking case of fraud, Judicial Magistrate First Class Gagandeep Goyal has charged an advocate for allegedly getting a fake divorce decree by using a woman pretending to be his wife.

Advocate Bakshish Singh Thind filed a complaint at the City Police Station in Sirsa, which led to an FIR being registered under various Sections of the IPC. Advocate Kamaljit Bansal from Bathinda was sentenced to three years in prison and fined Rs 15,000 for carrying out this fake divorce scheme.

Kamaljit manipulated court procedures and tricked fellow lawyers in Sirsa, including Thind and Narendra Sen, another advocate, to help him get the false divorce decree.

The problem began when Kamaljit's wife, advocate Reema, was pressured by him and his family to give up her share of their property. Kamaljit later forced her to leave their house. Seeking a divorce, Kamaljit used a fake address in Sirsa and arranged for another woman to pretend to be his wife in court, leaving Reema out of the process entirely. He got the help of Thind and Narendra Sen, who helped him get the divorce through false documents.

The fraud was discovered when Reema found out that Kamaljit had remarried after getting the fake divorce. She then went to the Sessions Judge and told him the full story. The judge ordered an investigation, and both lawyers admitted that the woman who appeared in court was not Reema.

Thind was shocked to learn that he had been deceived and reported the fraud to the authorities, which led to the investigation. Both Kamaljit and his father, Hukam Chand, were charged with fraud. However, Hukam Chand was acquitted because there was not enough evidence against him.

According to Thind, during the trial, the court heard the evidence and witness testimonies, and it was concluded that Kamaljit had abused the legal system, manipulated court procedures, and misled everyone involved to get the fake divorce. As a result, he was sentenced to three years in prison and fined for his unethical actions.
