The work of the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant in Yamunanagar, with a capacity of 800 megawatts, will commence soon. This project will help ensure uninterrupted power supply to the residents of Haryana.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, while chairing a meeting of the High-Powered Works Purchase Committee (HPWPC) last night, gave the approval for allocating the tender for the construction of the 800-megawatt Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant in Yamunanagar to Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) at a cost of Rs 6,900 crore. BHEL will complete this project within a period of 57 months.
