Students of Chaudhary Bansi Lal University (CBLU) Bhiwani staged a protest demonstration over the alleged delay in exam results and the hike in examination fee. The protesting students, led by student leader Praveen Bora, submitted a memorandum of their demands to the Vice-Chancellor through Dean of Academics Dinesh Madan.

Bora and another student leader Sumit Brar said that students have been waiting for the results of their first and second semester (re-appear) exams for a long time. They alleged inordinate delay in declaring the results which is causing mental distress to the students.

Brar further pointed out that the university has issued a new notification for the 2025-26 academic year, revising the examination fee for various courses. He said that as per the notification, the main examination fee for undergraduate courses has been raised from Rs 500 to Rs 550 per semester, while for postgraduate courses, it has increased from Rs 600 to Rs 650 per semester.

The student leader added that hike in fee for professional courses like B.Ed, M.Ed and Special M.Ed is even steeper as the fee has gone up from Rs 800 to Rs 1,000 per year. Re-appear examination fee has also gone up from Rs 700 to Rs 800 for undergraduate courses, and from Rs 750 to Rs 900 for postgraduate courses per semester (excluding late fee). Student leaders said the hike is against students’ interests and would be strongly opposed.
