Chandigarh, June 15
Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Hooda today alleged that the new Agnipath scheme for recruitment into the armed forces was neither in the interest of the country nor in the interest of the youth.

He requested the government to reconsider this policy and rationalise it by ensuring permanent jobs to soldiers who complete their four-year term.
