Bihar and its people had made great contribution to development of Haryana: Badoli

Moti Lal Prasad, Minister for Art, Culture and Youth Department in Bihar said Bihar’s rich cultural heritage and pace of development were shining on the global stage. Earlier, Bihar was known as a poor state but today it is known as a developed state.

On the occasion of Bihar Day under the programme ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ a programme was organised at the HSIIDC auditorium in Kundli, in which Moti Lal Prasad and BJP state president Mohan Lal Badoli participated as the chief guest.

Prasad while addressing the gathering said Bihar was the state where the country’s first university, Nalanda, was established and from there education in the country began. Today, the government was paying special attention to setting up new industries in Bihar so that the people there could get maximum employment.

Today, with the cooperation of the Central and the state governments, Bihar was progressing rapidly, the Minister added.

A safe and transparent environment is being provided to set up industries there so that big industries can invest in Bihar. He also called on the industrialists of Haryana to invest in Bihar.

Wishing the people on Bihar Diwas, Badoli said Bihar and its people had made significant contribution to the development of Haryana.

He said lakhs of people from Bihar were working at the companies in the Rai region, due to which this region had got a distinct identity in the industrial world.

The programme being organised here today not only enhanced the feeling of brotherhood but also provided an opportunity to know one another's culture, Badoi added.

Badoli further said Bihar was the land of ascetics and hardworking people. The people of Bihar were playing an important role in the progress of Haryana. Chhath Puja was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Haryana. Today, the people of Haryana and Bihar celebrated their festival together, the state BJP chief added.

Krishna Gahlawat, MLA from Rai said on March 22, 1912, Bihar got its Independent state status after it separated from Bengal and since then the day was celebrated as ‘Bihar Diwas’.

“Bihar is a rich state not only historically but also culturally, educationally and socially. The land is the birthplace of great personalities- Lord Budha, Mahavir Swamy, Chanakya, Aryabhatta, Guru Govind Singh. Bihar has given the message of knowledge, ethics and religion to the entire world,” the MLA asserted.

Sonepat MLA Nikhil Madaan, BJP’s Sonepat district president Ashok Bhardwaj, Mayor Rajiv Jain, Kundli MC chairperson Shimla Devi, BJP’s mandal presidents and other prominent persons were present during the programme.
