Panic gripped the Civil Lines area on Monday afternoon after a Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle parked near an electricity transformer suddenly caught fire.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:20 pm, creating chaos on the otherwise quiet street.

According to eyewitnesses, the bike, which had a Delhi registration number, was parked roadside when it burst into flames. The owner arrived shortly after and attempted to douse the fire using water, but the situation escalated quickly. The fuel tank exploded, and the motorcycle was soon engulfed in high flames.

Videos of the incident, captured by bystanders, show thick smoke billowing from the burning vehicle. Fortunately, no one was injured and no property damage occurred, though the bike was completely destroyed.

Authorities concerned are investigating the cause of the fire.
