To make ‘Bharat Bandh’ a success on February 16, a large number of employees under the banner of Sarv Karmchari Sangh (SKS) took out a bike march here today.

The employees assembled in Sector 12 and started the bike march, urging all the government departments to participate in the strike.

Sushil Gurjar Sirsi, district president, SKS; Rajinder Punia of Haryana Karamchari Mahasangh; Satpal Saini; Jile Singh Pal from the Khet Mazdoor Union and Dheeraj Rawat from the Retired Karamchari Sangh led the march and referred the government as “anti-employees”, “anti-farmers” and “anti-people”.

“Employees, farmers, and other organisations will participate in ‘Bharat Bandh’ on February 16,” said Sushil Gurjar Sirsi.

Arrangements in place to maintain law & order: SP

In view of the call for ‘Bharat Bandh’ on February 16, Superintendent of Police (SP) Shashank Kumar Sawan said the police had made extensive arrangements to maintain law and order across the district.

The SP said necessary arrangements had been made at all the earmarked places such as toll plazas, bus stands, power houses, municipal offices and various government offices in the district. “We will keep a vigil on anti-social elements,” said the SP.

He appealed to all the organisations to hold peaceful protests. He made it clear that nobody would be allowed to take the law into their hands.
