Notorious cow vigilante Bittu Bajrangi, accused of instigating Nuh riots and running a kangaroo court in Haryana, is staking claim on the ticket from the NIT area in Faridabad.

Exhibiting an unprecedented confidence, Bajrangi has announced a jan sampark yatra with posters of him, Faridabad MP Krishan Pal Gurjar, PM Narendra Modi, CM Nayab Singh Saini and his predecessor ML Khattar.

He has identified himself as ‘bhavi umeedwar’ of the BJP, even though none of these leaders has confirmed patronage to him. “I am a dedicated BJP worker. I am 100 per cent sure they will give me the ticket. Bittu is fighting elections for sure. I will be representing the BJP,” said Bajrangi when asked what if the party denies him the ticket.

Bajrangi said it was the plight of Faridabad that forced him to rise to the occasion. “People are suffering. Every time somebody is selected, they hide in their homes or rush to Chandigarh, orphaning Faridabad. I have been working for the area’s development and fighting for people’s right. Residents want me to fight the election, and If the BJP wants ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ they will choose me,” added the cow vigilante.

On being questioned about his role in the Nuh riots and the ban on his entry in the town, and his vigilante and staunch saffronised image, Bajrangi said: “Nuh riots is subjudiced so only the court will tell who is the culprit. I am who I am, and people in this constituency respect me irrespective of their religion. People will vote for development and civic redemption.”

Sources claimed that the jan sampark yatra was being touted to be a show of strength by Bajrangi, who was not allowed to attend the Jalabhishek Yatra in Nuh on July 22. Gau rakshaks from across the region have been invited to attend the yatra and, according to the WhatsApp invite sent to them, show the power of Hindutva.
