BJP has ruined education system, claims Hooda
Bhupinder Singh Hooda, a former CM, has alleged that the BJP has ruined the education system of the state. He said half of the posts of teacher were vacant, from schools to colleges and universities.
“The BJP is making a lot of noise about the New Education Policy, but the current policy and intentions of the government are being exposed through RTI queries. Over half of the posts are vacant in 281 government and aided colleges. As many as 7,986 posts are sanctioned in colleges, but 4,465 are vacant. Thirty-nine aided colleges have no principal,” he claimed.
He said a recent Niti Aayog report had revealed that Haryana was lagging in higher education. “Two years ago, the state government had proposed to give loans to public universities in place of grant-in-aid. The government spends only 2% of GDP on education, while the new policy recommends spending 6%,” he said.
