BJP-JJP govt must deliver or quit: Kumari Selja

Chandigarh, September 11

Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) chief Kumari Selja today said if the BJP-JJP coalition couldn’t run the government, it must quit.

At a press conference, she said, “The government has failed. People’s confidence in the government is lost. No one trusts the BJP-JJP leaders. If they can’t run the government, they must resign.”

Replying to a question on sugarcane MSP hike, Selja said: “In Haryana, the government has kept the cane prices Rs 2 higher than Punjab. But the real issue is that the farmers don’t get their dues on time.” On truce between farmers and the Karnal administration, she said: “Why the farmers are being lathicharged frequently? Even protesting with black flags is not allowed in the state.” — TNS
