BJP launches campaign in Karnal
After taking the lead in ticket distribution, the BJP has also taken the lead in launching its election campaign for the Karnal Municipal Corporation (KMC) polls. Karnal MLA Jagmohan Anand and BJP Mayor candidate from Karnal kick-started the campaign on Sunday by inaugurating the election office of party’s councillor candidate of Ward 13, Amit Ahuja. Party leaders, workers and residents of the ward welcomed the MLA and mayoral candidate and assured full support.
Earlier, the BJP took lead in announcing the candidates and it declared them a day before the announcement by the Congress.
Addressing party workers and supporters, Anand expressed confidence that all BJP mayoral and councillor candidates will secure a record victory in the upcoming municipal elections. He said with the BJP already in power at the Centre and in the state, winning the local body elections would make a "triple-engine" government, ensuring faster development and public welfare initiatives.
Anand emphasised that BJP’s governance model had consistently prioritised public interest and that a strong mandate in municipal elections would further strengthen development efforts in Karnal. He urged the voters to support the BJP candidates for continued progress.
Renu Bala Gupta expressed confidence in her and the party's councillor candidates victory and appealed to the people to form a ‘triple-engine’ government—the BJP at the Centre, state and municipal levels. She emphasised that the BJP’s governance would accelerate Karnal’s development and ensure better civic amenities.
