A former CM, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, today accused the BJP of making misleading statements on MSP.

"The BJP government talks of giving MSP on 24 crops. But the truth is that Haryana does not even have 24 crops and farmers never get MSP on the crops they grow," he claimed, while speaking to the media.

Hooda said, like in previous years, this time, too, paddy farmers had to sell their crop at Rs 200-400 less than the MSP.

"This is the reason why farmers are agitating. The health of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal is worrying," he said.

Congress president Udai Bhan alleged that the Constitution and Constitution maker Babasaheb Ambedkar were being insulted by BJP leaders.

The party took to the streets across the country and protested against the BJP and submitted a memorandum on this issue to the President, he said.
