Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Surjewala today said that the BJP government had neglected Kaithal in the past 10 years. He expressed gratitude to the people of Kaithal for their long-standing support towards his family and sought votes for the Congress. “We are thankful to the people of Kaithal for their love, support and blessings. You have stood by our family through both good and bad times. I promise you that I will ensure development in the district,” he assured the gathering.
He highlighted development projects undertaken during his tenure as MLA and accused the BJP of neglecting Kaithal. “We had transformed Kaithal but the BJP left it in ruins,” he alleged.
No Cong ticket yet, Hisar MP’s son files papers
Meanwhile, even before the Congress announced its candidates, Hisar MP Jai Parkash's son Vikas Saharan filed his nomination as party candidate from the Kalayat segment. BJP candidate Kamlesh Dhanda also filed the nomination papers from the same seat.
