The BJP leadership has prepared a plan as per which state party leaders and office-bearers will visit the ‘mandals’ and booths across the state and stay with the local workers to motivate them. A decision to this effect was taken at an organisational meeting of the party held at the state BJP headquarters in Rohtak on Friday.

CM to attend Badoli’s installation

A formal ceremony to install Mohan Lal Badoli as the BJP’s state president will be held at the Haryana headquarters of the party in Rohtak on Sunday. CM Nayab Singh Saini and other senior leaders of the BJP are slated to attend the installation ceremony.

The meeting was chaired by the ruling party’s organisation secretary Phanindranath Sharma and attended by state general secretary Surender Poonia, district president Ranbir Dhaka and other leaders.

The exercise is aimed at strengthening the party’s base at booth level.

As per the party’s poll strategists, the state leaders would also get to know the local issues and concerns of the people and would try to get those resolved. “The state-level leaders and office-bearers will visit all booths in the state from next week and interact with the local workers to strengthen the booths,” maintained Sharma.

He stated that as part of the programme, all state office-bearers, MPs, MLAs, former MPs and MLAs and chairpersons of municipal bodies would visit the booths.

“Apart from discussing booth management with the booth-level workers, they will also contact the prominent residents of the respective areas. This exercise will infuse enthusiasm into the party workers and increase the trust of the local residents in the party,” he asserted.

The responsibility of the tour programme has been given to former state general secretary Sandeep Joshi and Agro Industries Corporation chairman Bharat Bhushan Middha. “Senior BJP leaders will visit the mandals and stay with booth workers. They will also interact with local residents. With this, the booth-level workers will be motivated to ensure that the party performs well at every booth,” said Shamsher Singh Kharak, BJP’s state media co-incharge.

Former MPs Ashok Tanwar and Sunita Duggal, besides former MLAs Ravinder Baliala and Kulwant Bajigar, were also present. Later, Sharma also planted a sapling on the campus of Baba Mastnath University at Rohtak under the ‘Ek Paudha Maa Ke Naam’ campaign. In all, around 100 saplings were planted on the occasion.
