BJP prepares for PM’s visit, Badoli holds meetings with office-bearers
BJP state president Mohan Lal Badoli announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Haryana on April 14 to launch two major projects. He will inaugurate Hisar airport at 11 am and later lay the foundation stone of a power plant in Yamunanagar.
Badoli shared these details after a meeting at the party’s district office, Karna Kamal, with office-bearers from Karnal, Panipat, Sonepat, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Ambala, Panchkula, Yamunanagar and Gohana. Duties were assigned for the PM’s visit and other upcoming events, including BJP’s foundation day celebrations on April 6 and Ambedkar Jayanti functions at the mandal level.
“The PM will visit Haryana on April 14. We are holding meetings across the state to assign duties to our office-bearers,” Badoli said. Similar meetings have already taken place in Gurugram, with another scheduled in Hisar on March 25.
He also addressed the state BJP president elections, saying, “The selection process is internal. A notification for the election will be issued soon, followed by nominations.”
On the Haryana urban local bodies elections, he claimed the BJP had secured a clear mandate for a triple-engine government — at the municipal, state, and Central levels. “For the first time in Haryana’s history, a government has completed a full 10-year term with a strong mandate,” he said. The swearing-in ceremony for newly elected mayors, councillors, and chairpersons will be held in Panchkula on March 25.
Addressing concerns over Haryanvi songs promoting gun culture, he said, “Artistes have a responsibility towards society. If any song encourages criminal activities, action must be taken.” Regarding illegal colonies in Karnal, he assured, “If there are irregularities, we will investigate.”
