BJP workers led by Haryana Cabinet Minister Anil Vij today held a demonstration in Ambala Cantonment over alleged derogatory remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s late mother.

Vij condemned the remarks and said, “India will not tolerate such an insult. Until Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav apologise to the entire nation by holding their ears in shame, the people of this country will continue to protest.”

Speaking to mediapersons, Anil Vij said, “This is not just about the Prime Minister’s mother. It is an insult to every mother and every woman of India. By remaining silent, Rahul Gandhi has endorsed this mindset. Until both Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav publicly apologise, the people will not forgive them.”

He further added, “Congress and RJD have brought politics to its lowest point by allowing such abuses from their rally stage. Even if the words were spoken by someone else, the responsibility lies with Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav, under whose leadership the rally was organised. Shockingly, no Congress leader has apologised or even condemned this shameful act, which shows tacit approval. But this nation will never accept it.”

The BJP workers gathered outside the party office on Nicholson Road and took out the march through Sadar Bazaar Chowk, Bajaja Bazaar, Sabzi Mandi, Hanuman Market, Pul Chameli, Kesra Bazaar and Kabadi Bazaar before concluding the march at Nicholson Road.
