In a programme, the sankalp patra was released by Yamunanagar MLA Ghanshyam Dass Arora, district president Rajesh Sapra, mayoral candidate Suman Bahamani and district media in-charge Kapil Manish Garg.

MLA Ghanshyam Dass Arora said as per sankalp patra, all families occupying the land and house for more than 20 years in rural and urban areas would be given ownership rights. He said the houses, which were in the name of women, would be given 25 per cent exemption in house tax.

BJP mayoral candidate Suman Bahamani said she would complete all schemes mentioned in the BJP's sankalp patra on priority basis as soon as she became the mayor of the Municipal Corporation, Yamunanagar-Jagadhri.

She said a ‘Brass Craft Development Scheme’ would be started to revive the brass craft heritage of Jagadhri.

“We will set up a biogas plant in Yamunanagar and Jagadhari, so that there is a proper arrangement for cow dung disposal,” said Suman Bahamani.

She said they would start a ‘Green Mobility Campaign’ under which the number of five AC-e buses running here would be increased to 30 in the next six months.

“CCTV cameras will be installed in high-density public areas and security will be strengthened,” said Suman Bahmani.

She added that the process of ‘River Front Development Project’ with a budget of Rs 275 crore would be expedited and under the scheme, three new ghats and a Yamuna Theme Park would be constructed.

“Financial assistance will be provided to street vendors to set up their business,” said Suman Bahamani.

BJP district president Rajesh Sapra said after becoming a Mayor of the BJP, the work of garbage collection would be ensured from every house.

“The number of streetlights in every ward of the Municipal Corporation will be doubled; energy efficient LEDs will be upgraded and new solar energy operated streetlights will be installed. Besides, solar panels will be given free to families with annual income up to ₹ 1,00,000 and community centres will be constructed in every ward of the Municipal Corporation,” said Rajesh Sapra.
