Gurugram District Congress (Rural) president and former Badshahpur Assembly candidate Vardhan Yadav has alleged that the BJP “tore apart the Constitution” to form the government in Haryana, claiming that the party “stole” 74,062 votes in the Badshahpur constituency alone.

The District Congress Committee also organised a “Vote Chor Candle March” in the city, describing it as a demonstration “in support of the truth exposed by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi” regarding alleged electoral fraud.

While presenting data, Vardhan Yadav said in the Badshahpur seat, the BJP committed vote theft in five ways: Adding 11,744 fake voters, 7,437 fake and invalid addresses, 59,044 voters with the same address, 1,234 invalid photographs and 353 entries with incorrect age.

“Rahul Gandhi has backed his claims with verified data and exposed a conspiracy by the BJP to influence the Haryana poll results by tampering with over 25 lakh votes,” Yadav said. “Given the overwhelming public support I received, I was confident of victory. But after the BJP candidate won by a large margin, I began verifying every booth. Over eight months of scrutiny revealed 74,062 fake votes in Badshahpur, which I reported to Rahul Gandhi,” he added.

“About 25 lakh votes were stolen in the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections. Congress will not sit idly by in the face of this fraud. The fight for people's rights will be fought from the streets to Parliament”, said Vardhan Yadav.
