Union Minister and Ahir leader Rao Inderjit Singh today claimed that the BJP would win all seats in the Ahirwal region from Gurugram to Nangal Choudhary (Mahendragarh) in the Assembly elections scheduled for October 5.
Inderjit interacted with mediapersons after his daughter Arti Singh Rao filed her papers in Kanina town of the district. The BJP has fielded Arti from the Ateli constituency after dropping its sitting MLA Sitaram Yadav.
Asked if the BJP has given ticket in Ahirwal to the candidates of his choice, Inderjit said that the party got a survey conducted to find out the winnability of the candidates. Luckily, those who had joined the BJP with him got the party ticket as their names were on the top of the list of candidates on account of winnability, he added.
To a question about resentment among local leaders over denial of ticket, he said that he would make efforts to persuade them. “We will appeal to all to support us for forming the BJP government in the state for the third time,” he added.
Arti, while talking to mediapersons, said she had got ticket for the first time in the past 10 years, hence would make all efforts to live up to the people’s expectation. “I am glad that the BJP has given me ticket. I will work to ensure the BJP forms government for the third time,” she added.
