BJP workers join Congress
Rohtak, September 2
A number of BJP workers left the ruling party and joined the Congress in Rohtak on Monday. Local Congress MLA Bharat Bhushan Batra welcomed them into
the partyfold and exhorted them to take the policies and manifesto of the Congress to the common people.
“The people of Rohtak are struggling to get even the basic amenities like clean drinking water, good roads and a sound sewerage system. I raised these demands in the Vidhan Sabha, but the government did not listen to me. Now, as soon as the Congress government is formed, we will ensure the provision of all facilities to the people with the help of micro-management,” he said.
A number of BJP workers joined the Congress under the leadership of Chintu Nagpal in Tej Colony. BJP Mahila Morcha’s Shursen Mahila Mandal president Seema Malhotra, Nirmal Ranga, Suman Phogat, Sunita Devi, Sumitra and other women workers also joined the Congress after leaving the BJP.
