BJP’s Dhankar makes govt jobs poll plank
BJP national secretary and its candidate from Badli Assembly segment, Om Prakash Dhankar, is constantly raising the issue of government jobs in his rallies to corner the Congress.
Former Agriculture Minister claimed that the BJP government had given a large number of jobs in the past decade on the basis of merit. He said two lakh more jobs would be given on the same pattern after forming the government for the third time in the state.
“Parchi-Kharchi system prevailed during the previous regime for providing government jobs. After coming to power in 2014, the the BJP not only stopped this practice but also ensured that government jobs were given purely on merit basis,” said Dhankar while addressing a poll meeting in Naurang village.
“The Congress is heading towards disintegration as people have decided to form the BJP government for the third consecutive time,” he said.
“The Congress leaders are openly talking about fixing the quota for government jobs and selling them during the election campaign itself. There is a competition among the Congressmen who will sell more jobs,” said Dhankar.
Launching a scathing attack on former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, he said those who gave the slogan of “Chaudhar” had confined the government jobs merely to Rohtak during the Congress tenure.
“Fertile and costly land of farmers was acquired at the government rates by the Congress during their tenure in the name of development but it was later handed over to corporate houses. It ruined the farmers across the state. Now the farmers are ready to take revenge from the Congress,” he added.
Dhankhar said Defence Minister Rajnath Singh would visit Patauda village on September 28.
