Will be taught a lesson in poll

All sections of society are unhappy with the policies of the government. Employees of various departments are also forced to hold repeated agitations as the government hasn’t been fulfilling its promises. The farmers of Haryana are ready to teach a lesson to the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The activists of AAP and the Congress will make people aware of the wrong policies of the BJP. The winds of change are blowing in the favour of the INDIA bloc.— Sushil Gupta, AAP state chief and Kurukshetra Lok Sabha candidate

Speaking to mediapersons, Gupta said, “Farmers are in distress and they just want to go to Delhi to remind the Prime Minister about the promises made, but the BJP government in Haryana has been stopping them. The high -handedness of the BJP government has exposed its true face. The BJP government at the Centre and Haryana are playing in the hands of corporate houses. The farmers are being booked, the Internet services suspended and rubber bullets, water cannon and tear gas are being used against them.”

“Seven farmers have already lost their lives in the ongoing agitation. A young boy was killed. The farmers’ agitation has revealed the true face of the BJP. While on the one hand, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar claims to be the son of a farmer, on the other hand, forces are being used against the farmers. The farmers are being warned of attachment of property, freezing bank accounts and cancellation of passports. We have never seen such actions in the past. The AAP government in Punjab has been providing all help to the agitating farmers. We condemn the BJP for its action against the farmers and extend our full support to the agitating farmers,” he added.

Demanding the reopening of inter-state borders, Gupta said, “The closure of borders has become a cause of inconvenience for businessmen too. Even ambulances are not getting free passage due to the closure of the borders. The government should open the borders.”

To a query, he said, “All sections of society are unhappy with the policies of the government. The winds of change are blowing in the favour of the INDIA bloc.”
