Before filing the nomination, Gupta inaugurated the election office in Sushila Bhawan.

Addressing party workers, Gupta said the role of workers was crucial in the elections and he was sure that the BJP would win this seat for the third time in a row. “A glimpse of the BJP’s performance was witnessed when the BJP candidate secured a lead of more than 37,000 votes from Hisar Assembly in the Lok Sabha elections. We hope to widen this gap of margin of votes in the Assembly elections, he said.

Gupta said in the last 10 years, many development works had been undertaken in the town. He said that in the coming years, the town would be a developed city. “Only the BJP can bring development so the people of Hisar will once again work to make the lotus bloom. The doors of my house will always be open for you,” he said.

BJP candidates from Hansi and Nalwa Assembly segments in the district, Vinod Bhayana and Randhir Panihar, respectively, also filed their nomination papers today. JJP-turncoat BJP candidate from Uklana (reserved) Assembly segment Anoop Dhanak too filed his papers.
