BJP’s Vipul Goel files papers from Faridabad
BJP candidate Vipul Goel filed his nomination papers from the Faridabad segment today. His wealth has increased by around 40 per cent in the past 10 years.
Goel, 52, was denied the ticket in the 2019 Assembly poll, but this time, the BJP preferred him to Narender Gupta, an industrialist who was nominated by the party in the last poll.
Union Ministers Manohar Lal Khattar and Krishan Pal Gurjar were among those who were present with Goel at the time of filing of his nomination here on Monday. Outgoing Ballabgarh MLA Mool Chand Sharma filed his papers on Saturday.
One of the wealthiest candidates in the district, Goel has shown his family income over Rs 148 crore.
Goel said he would live up to everyone’s expectations and ensure development projects launched by the double-engine government of the BJP are completed at a fast pace. Meanwhile, Rajesh Nagar, the sitting BJP MLA, also filed his nomination from the Tigaon assembly segment on Monday.
