Panipat, February 22

Enraged over the death of young farmer Shubhkaran at the Khanauri border, the BKU activists blocked traffic on the Panipat-Rohtak highway in Gohana for two hours on the call given by BKU chief Gurnam Singh Charuni.

The BKU activists led by Satyawan Narwal reached with tractor-trailers on the highway near Sarsadh village and staged a dharna on the road. Heavy police force was deployed near the protest site.

The farmer leaders demanded that the government should fulfil the demands of the agitating farmers without any delay.

Apart from this, the BKU activists led by farmer leader Ram Singh Kundu blocked the traffic near Bhalsi village on the Panipat-Jind road for around 35 minutes. SHO Madlauda pacified the protesters and restored the traffic. Long queues of vehicles were seen on both sides of the road.
