After withdrawing security of 72 individuals, including a few politicians, across the state, DGP OP Singh has written a letter to all police officials, asking them to blacklist "fukre log" “who show off the security provided to them at malls, cinemas, weddings, and funerals”.

The Haryana Police recently withdrew 201 police personnel from security duty after a fresh threat assessment.

The DGP said people who show off security should be blacklisted. "Vacancies in the police force are always available. What's the point of employing them in useless work?” he asked.

“There are people who harbour criminals, encourage criminal activities, and then cry foul about threats to their lives. Take legal action against such individuals,” he said.

On guidelines to provide security to genuine people, he said, “Effectively protect law-abiding citizens who are at risk from criminals. Maintain regular contact with them. Provide gun licences and training. Provide guidance on preventive measures and daily routines. Provide personal security only after thorough vetting and a CID threat assessment.”

On review of security, he suggested, “Review such deployments weekly. Your primary job is to keep your force engaged against criminals. Deploying them outside the homes of just a few people will weaken the security of the rest of the population.”

Talking about the ongoing Operation Hotspot Domination, Singh told police officials, “You have raided an average of 800 locations daily over the past 10 days. You have arrested a large number of drug addicts, alcoholics, gamblers, and vagrants. This has demonstrated to the public an effective police presence. You have enthusiastically helped those suffering from cold and hunger in your area. People have also begun to appreciate your good behaviour.”

He added, “You have a list of those out on bail. Confiscate their properties, demolish illegal encroachments, seize passports, update history sheets, and keep track of their contacts. If criminals known to you dare commit crimes in your area, I will consider it your negligence.”

He further said, “Those who are absconding should be declared fugitives (POs), their property should be confiscated, and lookout/red corner notices should be issued against them to prevent them from fleeing the country.”
