Board exam centres under strict watch
The Haryana Government has taken strict measures to prevent cheating and paper leaks during the ongoing board exams. On Monday, heavy police presence was seen at every exam centre across Sirsa district. Education Department officials, along with police teams, conducted surprise inspections at 40 centres. DSPs, SHOs and flying squads, including district education officers, worked together to ensure the exams were conducted smoothly.
Around 9,000 students appeared for the 10th grade English exam across 83 centres in Sirsa. Amid the heavy security and monitoring, the exam was completed peacefully with no reports of cheating. Only students with their Aadhaar cards were allowed to enter the centres.
The exam was reportedly easy, with questions based on the syllabus. Poonam, a student from Rania, shared that the English paper was perfect, with everything they had studied being covered. Another student, Nisha from Sirsa, mentioned how happy she was with the paper, as it was based entirely on what was taught in school.
In addition, schools used only their staff for monitoring duties and the exam centres had limited access, only students and authorised staff were allowed on the premises.
SDM Arpit Sangal also visited the Government Girls Senior Secondary School in Ellenabad to inspect the arrangements. DSP Adarshdeep Singh and other senior officials inspected various centres like Khairpur School, Central School and Arya Senior Secondary School in Sirsa.
Karnal Deputy Commissioner Karnal Uttam Singh and Superintendent of Police (SP) Ganga Ram Punia inspected several examination centres across the district on Monday. They emphasised that the district administration is fully prepared to conduct fair examinations, strictly adhering to government guidelines.
He emphasised that no external persons should be allowed inside the examination premises and all security measures must be properly implemented.
The DC and SP appealed to students to rely on hard work and fair means to succeed, and said that "success achieved through honest efforts is the true path to progress."
Meanwhile, in Kaithal SP Rajesh Kalia also conducted an inspection of various examination centres to ensure cheating-free and peaceful exams. Under his direction, adequate police personnel have been deployed at all 75 examination centres in the district.
During his visit, SP Rajesh Kalia instructed on-duty officers and staff to maintain discipline and ensure a hassle-free examination process.
