Sweety Boora, the woman boxer from Hisar who won the bronze medal in the ongoing Asian Boxing Championship being held in Dubai, has dedicated her medal to the farmers who have died during the ongoing stir.
In a tweet after bagging the medal, the boxer, who is an inspector in the Central Income Tax Department in Delhi, also tagged the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on and appealed to the PM to listen to the farmers and give a thought to them.
“I appeal to the honourable Prime Minister to listen to the farmers and also think about them as they are sitting on a dharna even during the pandemic time,” she tweeted.

Boora, hailing from Ghiray village of Hisar district, earned the support of many pro-farmer people on the Twitter.
INLD leader Abhay Chautala commented on her tweet by saying that farmers were proud of her and added that she deserved an acknowledgement as she also belonged to a farmers’ family, her father, Mahender Singh, being an agriculturist.
