The Haryana Boxing Sangh has suspended its secretary Ashwini Sharma and cancelled the affiliation of its Panipat unit on the grounds of irregularities.

The decisions were taken at a meeting of the executive committee of the sangh held here today. Sharma was suspended from the post of the secretary as well as from the primary membership of the sangh.

Sangh treasurer Praveer Gahlot said sangh president Major (retd) Satyapal Sindhu had been receiving complaints regarding extortion and allurement given to players by Sharma and others. — TNS
