BSEH conducts national merit scholarship scheme exams

The Board of School Education, Haryana (BSEH), Bhiwani, organised the National Means and Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) examination today. The examination was conducted without any cheating at 167 examination centres across the state. Admit cards were issued to 48,543 candidates across the state for the examination, which includes 19,125 boys, 29,415 girls and three transgenders.

The board spokesperson said to maintain the purity, credibility and dignity of the examination, a district flying squad was formed in each district. These flying squads conducted surprise inspections of the examination centres where the examination was being conducted peacefully and without any cheating. Apart from this, the District Education Officers inspected the examination centres of their respective districts, where the examination was being conducted smoothly.

He further said the National Means and Merit Scholarship Scheme examination was being run by the Ministry of Education. The main objective of the scheme was to select talented poor students studying at government/aided schools and help them further in their education. The students selected under the scheme are given monthly scholarships for classes IX, X, XI and XII.
