BSP leader Harbilas Singh Rajjumajra, who had unsuccessfully contested the Assembly election on BSP-INLD ticket from Naraingarh last year, and his friend suffered bullet injuries in a late evening firing incident at Naraingarh.
As per information, Harbilas and his friends Puneet Dang and Gugal Pandit were sitting in a car when they were attacked by unidentified persons. Harbilas and Puneet suffered bullet injuries.
The victims were rushed to the sub-divisional Civil Hospital, from where they were referred to the PGI, Chandigarh. The condition of Harbilas is stated to be critical.
After getting information, a large number of people gathered outside the hospital. SP Surinder Singh Bhoria, who also reached the spot, said, “Harbilas and Puneet have suffered bullet injuries, and have been referred for further treatment. Gugal Pandit was also referred as he was in a state of shock. They were said to be waiting for someone when the miscreants in another vehicle reached the spot and opened multiple fire at them. The reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained. Teams have been formed to nab the suspects. We are also in touch with the Himachal police.”
