BSP leader, his friend injured in firing incident in Naraingarh

A BSP leader and his friend were injured in a firing incident in Naraingarh late on Friday evening.

As per the information, BSP leader Harbilas Singh Rajjumajra, who had unsuccessfully contested the 2024 Assembly election, and his friends Puneet Dang and Gugal Pandit were sitting in a car when they were attacked by unidentified miscreants.

While Harbilas and Puneet suffered bullet injuries, Gugal Pandit also reportedly suffered some injuries.

The victims were rushed to the Civil Hospital in Naraingarh from where they were referred to the PGIMS, Chandigarh. The condition of Harbilas is said to be serious.

After getting information, a large number of people gathered outside the hospital.

Ambala SP Surinder Singh Bhoria also reached the spot.

“Two men—Harbilas and Puneet—suffered bullet injuries, and they have been referred for further treatment. Gugal Pandit was also referred as he was in a state of shock. The exact reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained. Different teams have been formed to nab the suspects,” the police said.

Harbilas had unsuccessfully contested the Assembly election on BSP-INLD ticket from Naraingarh.
