Congress MLAs Raghuvir Singh Kadian and Kuldeep Vats raised concerns over deteriorating law and order in the state. Kadian criticised the government, stating that financers were receiving extortion calls and that Dighal village had been barricaded under the guise of security. “Either the government should bring gangsters from Dubai and Canada or ensure security for financers,” Kadian said. Vats supported his claims.

Protestors face police action

Court ruling sparks debate

Congress MLA Geeta Bhukkal questioned the government over a court ruling related to an SC candidate’s judicial examination. The candidate’s caste certificate lacked a required date format, leading to the cancellation of her candidature. The court ruled in her favour, allowing her to appear for the exam and imposing a penalty on the Commission. Bhukkal stated that the ruling raises concerns over the Commission’s functioning.
