Builders pulled up in Sonepat, told to resolve residents’ problems by April 15

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Manoj Kumar today directed builders to provide adequate facilities and to resolve the problems of residents living in high-rise buildings and plots of housing societies. The DC also pulled up the representative of Apex Green for their lethargic attitude in implementation of the directions given to curb fire incidents.
The DC was chairing a joint meeting of the representatives of the builder companies and the representatives of the Residents’ Welfare Associations (RWAs) in the afternoon on Friday.
Resident Welfare Associaton (RWA) members of TDI Kingsbury raised issues related to the power supply, old generators, solar power system, firefighting system, sewerage, water logging in the basement and poor maintenance. Members of the RWA of TDI Tuscan City raised the issues of pending project of boundary wall, construction of gate, commercial activities in societies, old generators, STP, taking charge for half-constructed club and opening of Escrow Bank account.
The DC asked builder companies to file for Occupation Certificate (OC) and to open the account by February 29. He called for investigation into commercial activities in the residential societies.
RWA representatives of TDI Espania-1 and 2 raised the issues of OC, power house, potable water and encroachment. The DC directed representatives of builders to resolve the problems by April 15. RWA members of the Parsvanath Society raised the issues of water tank, STP, connectivity with the main road, sewerage, street light and rain harvesting system. The DC called for an investigation into the lifting of soil and also directed the builders to construct a water tank by May 15. He fixed the deadline of June 20 for the construction of the rain water harvesting system. The DC also directed the Ansal society for carrying out repair works. The DC directed the SDM to visit Express City to check amenities.
Additional District Magistrate Amit Kumar, DTP Naresh Kumar, EO, Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran, Vijay Kumar and RO, pollution board, Pradeep Kumar and members of RWAs were present at the meeting.
