A private school bus driver died under suspicious circumstances in Sector 48 late at night on Tuesday. It is alleged that he fell down from the roof of the school building.

While the school authorities have claimed that no such incident took place in the school, his family has sought a fair investigation into the matter.

According to the police, the deceased driver has been identified as 32-year-old Sandeep Kumar, a resident of Madansar village in Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan.

He was working as a bus driver in Euro International School, Sector 48. Late night on Tuesday, he was sleeping on the fourth floor of the school building, when he died after falling down from the roof, according to a CCTV footage from the nearby area.

The police was called this morning after his body was discovered and his family members and school staff gathered on the spot. The police have sent the body for postmortem.

Suresh Kumar, another bus driver and the deceased’s room partner, said they had slept after having dinner at night.

The deceased’s uncle, Rajaram, said Sandeep had come from Rajasthan to find a job. “So, why will he die by suicide when he had got the job,” Rajaram asked, adding that he was suspicious that his nephew was murdered.

Sandeep’s another relative Rinku Yadav said the school management was not ready to understand its responsibility and not even interested to talk to the family. They had filed a complaint seeking a fair investigation, he added.

Despite several attempts, school chairman Satbir Yadav could not be contacted, while the school attendant denied the incident.
