He said the BJP had already acknowledged defeat, especially following former Chief Minister Manohar Lal’s offer to Selja to join the BJP.

Arriving at Chautala village on Monday via helicopter, Hooda boarded a specially designed bus to conduct rallies and roadshows across various villages in the district.

He urged voters to support the Congress candidates, confidently stating that the Congress is poised to form a majority government in Haryana.

Hooda also criticised Opposition parties, claiming they have failed to connect with the people. Responding to inquiries about the possibility of Abhay Chautala becoming Chief Minister, he emphasised that democracy allows everyone to voice their opinions but reiterated that Congress would be the governing party.

His campaign extended beyond Dabwali to villages in Rania, Ellenabad and Sirsa, where he appealed for votes for Congress candidates. In the evening, he addressed a gathering at Bhagat Singh Chowk in Sirsa, urging support for Gokul Setia.

Highlighting the public’s discontent with the BJP-JJP rule over the past decade, Hooda asserted that the upcoming Congress government would genuinely represent the people’s needs. He contrasted this with the current administration’s failure to address citizens’ concerns.

Hooda pointed out that Haryana’s residents are aware of the difficulties they faced under INLD’s governance and the shortcomings of the BJP-JJP coalition, which has left many feeling unheard. He noted that employees, farmers and traders have resorted to protests due to unmet demands, while those in power have remained indifferent.

Reflecting on Congress’ previous governance, Hooda stated that all communities flourished under its rule, with farmers receiving adequate irrigation and immediate tubewell connections. He emphasised that the public is now looking to Congress for relief from the current government’s mismanagement.
