The Transport Department and the Higher Education Department of Haryana have initiated campaign ‘Aao Bane Road Safety Sarathi’ to check road accidents. Shatrujit Kapoor, Principal Secretary, Transport, Haryana, said the state had also set a target of reducing accidents by more than half by 2030. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
