Sonepat: As many as 44 students from Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, Murthal, have been selected by e-learning company Teachnook. The company will give an annual package of Rs 4 lakh to the selected students and an incentive of Rs 2 lakh on the basis of performance. Congratulating the selected students, Vice-Chancellor Shree Prakash Singh said that youth power played an important role in any kind of positive change. He said that the youth would play an important role in making the country self-reliant. He said that there was no dearth of talent in the country and this was the reason why the youth of the country were working in top positions in globally reputed companies. The university tries to provide students with jobs while still pursuing their education at the university. After a tough selection process and interview by Technook, 15 students of Computer Science Engineering, 4 of Electrical Engineering, 15 of Electronics and Communication Engineering, 7 of Mechanical Engineering, and 7 of Chemical Engineering had been appointed. One student each had been selected from the field of MBA and biotechnology respectively. University’s Employment and Training Officer Prof Suresh Verma said that after rigorous selection process and interviews by Veersa Technology, 44 students had been selected. The selected students would get an annual package of Rs 4 lakh. An annual incentive of Rs 2 lakh would also be given based on performance. The selected students would undergo a training period of 6 months in the company.
Home Guards honoured by VC
Sonepat: Shree Prakash Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, Murthal said that the Home Guards were committed to their duties and they faced every challenge with determination. V-C Singh attended the programme organized for Home Guards at DCRUST, Murthal as the Chief Guest. Addressing the Home Guards, the Vice-Chancellor said the Home Guards, who made us feel safe with their selfless service and dedication, not only maintained law and order, but were always ready to help us in times of crisis. On this occasion, Vice-Chancellor Singh gave appreciation certificates to the selected home guards for their selfless services to the university. He said the Home Guards should take a pledge that they would fulfil their responsibilities towards the security of the university in a better way.
