Campus Notes: Book exhibition at RKSD College

Kaithal: A book exhibition was organised at RKSD College, Kaithal, in association with the National Book Trust, New Delhi. The exhibition explored how the book culture preserved memory, including the role of library in preserving memories representing societies, important moments in history and individual lives. “The stories told in the books still inspire and amaze, decades or even centuries, after they were created,” said Principal Sanjay Goyal while inaugurating the exhibition. Goyal added that it was an effort to bring together the most comprehensive collection of human knowledge ever assembled at one place. On the occasion, Librarian of the college Naresh Kumar, Prof Shri Om, Prof SP Verma, Prof Surender, Prof Manoj Bansal and the library staff of the college were present.

Slogan-writing competition

Jhajjar: A slogan-writing competition was organised by the English Sahitya Parishad at Government Postgraduate Nehru College, Jhajjar. As many as19 students of different classes participated in it. BA second year student Sakshi came first, followed by BA first year student Payal and Priyanka Dalal, respectively. Principal Dr Dalbir Singh gave away certificates to the winning students. Dr Jagbir Singh, Dr Kuldeep and Shiv Shankar were judges. Senior professor Dr Surendra Kumar Poonia and mass communication professor Dr Amit Bhardwaj were present at the event.
