Ambala: As an initiative of the AI awareness programme, GMN College conducted a one-day capacity-building programme on 'Basics of artificial intelligence' at Government (PG) College, Ambala Cantonment. Principal Dr Ajit Singh, Government (PG) College encouraged students to participate in the session with full zeal. The faculty of GMN College, including Dr Prableen Kaur, Dr Geeta Kaushik and Dr Bharti Sujan interacted with the students of PG College and shared their expertise. The programme was designed for BCA final-year students, with approximately 70 participants in attendance. The programme aimed at enhancing participants' understanding of fundamental AI concepts, applications and future prospects. The objective was to introduce students to fundamental AI concepts, applications and future career prospects in the field. The programme included interactive lectures and a Q&A session, ensuring active engagement from participants. The faculty of the computer science department was also present during the session.
Talent show at Polytechnic
Yamunanagar: Seth Jai Parkash Polytechnic, Damla, hosted a Talent Show-2025 that showcased the artistic and cultural brilliance of its students. The event featured a variety of performances, including bhangra, solo singing, solo dance, group dance, Saraswati Vandana, poetry recitation and patriotic acts, leaving the audience mesmerised. Principal Anil Kumar emphasised the significance of extracurricular activities in shaping personalities and encouraged students to pursue their passions with dedication. The success of the programme was credited to the dedicated efforts of staff members, who mentored and guided the students in preparing their performances. The talent show concluded on a high note, with students receiving appreciation for their talent and efforts.
Inter-district level science exhibition
Hisar: An inter-district level science exhibition was organised at Government College, Hansi. The chief guest PS Rohilla, former Principal, Government College, and jury members inspected the models displayed by the students of various faculties from different colleges and appreciated the art of the students and inspired them to keep participating in such exhibitions in future. In the science exhibition, 160 students from seven discipline of a total of 20 colleges of Hisar, Sirsa and Fatehabad districts participated. The participants of the teams securing first, second and third positions of were given certificates and cash prizes by the chief guest. The winning participants securing first place will participate in the state-level science exhibition to be held at Government College, Karnal, on February 21 and 22. The chief guest in his address emphasised the importance of such events to encourage the students. The Principal of the college, Dr Paviter Mohan, cited examples of Alexander Fleming who discovered penicillin and Mary Query who found radium in such science experiment
