Sonepat: Dr Pritam, Director, Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Study Centre, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, said the country was progressing according to the vision of the Constitution makers. He was speaking at “Our Constitution, Our Self-Respect”, a programme organised in Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, Murthal, in collaboration with the NCC and the NSS. This was the reason that our country had become the 5th largest economy of the world, he added. He said the Constitution was both flexible and rigid, adding that every person had the right to know the law. Vice-Chancellor Shri Prakash Singh instructed university authorities to keep some copies of the Constitution at the library so that any student or staffer of the university could study it. Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar had made an important contribution in drafting the Constitution, he added, stating that we should discharge our duty towards the nation well.

Pariksha Pe Charcha telecast live

Yamunanagar: Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Yamunanagar, recently organised the live screening of the Pariksha Pe Charcha programme, which was attended by a large number of students and faculty members. The session was highly appreciated by all present as it provided valuable insights and motivation for students preparing for their examinations. The live screening proved to be an enlightening experience for the students, equipping them with practical strategies to overcome exam fear and perform to the best of their abilities. Principal Dr Pratima Sharma expressed her appreciation for the initiative and highlighted how such sessions played a crucial role in alleviating exam-related stress and boosting students’ confidence. Sardar Randeep Singh Jauhar, president, Governing Body and Managing Committee, also lauded the event, emphasising the importance of guiding and mentoring students to excel academically while managing stress effectively.

KU ramps up prep for convocation

Kurukshetra: Kurukshetra University Vice-Chancellor Som Nath Sachdeva has held a meeting with conveners and senior officials of various committees constituted for the upcoming convocation. The 34th convocation of Kurukshetra University is set to be held on February 18. During the meeting, the VC issued instructions related to the guest house, parking, entry into the auditorium hall, and seating arrangements. Sachdeva said, at the convocation, degrees would be awarded to 1,186 UG and 1,773 PG students. PhD degrees to 205 PhD holders and gold medals and merit certificates to 96 students will also be awarded.
