Campus notes: Declamation, debate contests held
Panipat: Declamation, poetry recitation, essay writing and debate competitions were organised to mark Hindi Diwas under the aegis of Hindi Sahitya Parishad at Arya Mahavidyalaya. Nearly 250 students participated in these competitions. Principal Jagdish Gupta congratulated all the winners. In the declamation contest, Khushboo stood first, Pushpajanli came second, while Divya was third. Khushboo and Divya jointly secured the first position in poetry recitation, while Divya bagged the second place and Sushma stood third. In the essay writing competition, Radha Rani got the first place, while Preeti stood second and Khushi came third. In the debate competition, Sushma stood first, Aishwarya bagged the second and Shivani got the third prize.
Teacher’s Day celebrated at school
Yamunanagar: Legal Literacy Cell, Commerce Calibre Club, departments of commerce, sports, computer science and biotechnology, NCC and NSS units, Rotract Club and Community College at Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Yamunanagar, celebrated Teachers’ Day with enthusiasm. The Department of Commerce also organised a national-level essay writing competition on various thought-provoking themes, including ‘Teaching: A Noble Profession’, ‘A Teacher Who Changed My Life’, and ‘The Role of Teachers in Shaping the Future’ to mark the occasion. Principal Harinder Singh Kang highlighted the pivotal role played by teachers in the holistic development of students.
