Campus notes: Dr CV Raman remembered

The Biotech Department of Kishanlal Public College recently hosted a science quiz competition on the occasion of National Science Day. The event was inaugurated Principal Dr Kavita Gupta, who encouraged students to actively participate in such events. Assistant Professor Dr Sandeep Yadav from the Biotech Department shared information with the students about the remarkable achievements of Dr CV Raman. Students enthusiastically participated in the event. Team A secured the first place, followed by Team E in the second place and Team B in the third place.

Science & innovation event held

Rewari: Indira Gandhi University (IGU) here organised “Innovation 2025”, an event on the theme “Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science and Innovation”. The programme was held under the joint sponsorship of the Department of Biotechnology and the Haryana State Council for Science Innovation and Technology. The event was presided over by the IGU Vice-Chancellor JP Yadav. The keynote address was delivered by Professor Arvind Kumar Bhatt, pro-vice-chancellor, Shoolini University, Himachal Pradesh, while the special guest for the event was Yati Gupta, founder and CEO, Fabitious Innovation, IIT-Delhi.

Viksit Bharat exhibition organised

Mahendragarh: Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh, in collaboration with the Directorate of Science and Technology, organised a two-day event that included a science exhibition based on the theme “Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science and Innovation for a Viksit Bharat”. This science exhibition showcased research works and innovations by various departments of CUH, and local schools. During the inaugural session, Maithili Sharan from IIT-Delhi and CUH Vice-Chancellor Tankeshwar Kumar expressed their views. Kumar said the participation of local school teams in presenting their models reflected the growing interest in science and innovation among school students.
