Sonepat: Dr Shivalik Yadav has assumed the charge of Registrar of Bhagat Phool Singh Women’s University (BPSMV), Khanpur Kalan. He was appointed the Registrar after orders by Governor and university Chancellor Bandaru Dattatreya. Dr Yadav — who was previously serving as Professor of Psychology, Dronacharya Government College, Gurugram — said the all-round development of BPSMV was his priority. Efforts would be made to take the university to new heights by faithfully discharging the responsibility given by the state government, he added. Vice-Chancellor Sudesh said the role of the Registrar was very special to take the university further on the path of development, and Dr Yadav’s experience would definitely be important for the development of the university.

Kaithal college alumnus shines

Kaithal: Manpreet Kaur, a resident of Harigarh Kingan who graduated in the non-medical course from RKSD College, Kaithal, in 2019, has been selected as Panchayat Secretary in the state government. To express her gratitude and share her joy, Manpreet visited her alma mater. She attributed her success to the guidance and mentorship provided by her teachers during her time at the college. Principal Sanjay Goyal and Rajesh Deshwal, Head of the Department of Electronics, encouraged her to continue striving for excellence and to serve the people with honesty, dedication and integrity.

Manish Kumar is CSDC Director

Hisar: Manish Kumar, a member of the Food Technology Department at Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST), Hisar, has been appointed the Director of the Centre for Skill Development Courses (CSDC). The appointment follows University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines. Vice-Chancellor Narsi Ram Bishnoi congratulated Kumar, emphasising the centre’s goal of providing practical, industry-aligned training for students’ employability. Kumar outlined his vision to design UGC-compliant courses, engage with industries for internships, and launch awareness programmes. The centre aims to enhance industry-academia collaboration, offering students both academic and vocational skills for employment and entrepreneurship.

2-day national seminar concludes

Mahendragarh: The two-day national seminar organised by the Department of Political Science and the Department of Law, Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh, on the topic “We the People @ 75: Navigating Social Justice and Global Peace” sponsored by the Indian Council of World Affairs concluded on Friday. Day 2 of the seminar began with an online technical session, chaired by Rajender Meena from the Department of Commerce, and featuring Aparna from CUJ as the keynote speaker. Twenty-five research scholars from 10 states participated in the event. Simultaneously, an offline session, chaired by Shreya Pandey of Ranchi University was held, and witnessed 24 scholars presenting their research papers. The valedictory session was chaired by Suneel Kumar, with Shantesh Kumar Singh (JNU, Director, Human Rights Centre) as the chief guest and Ripusudan Singh (BBAOU) as the keynote speaker. Singh discussed Viksit Bharat and Vishva Bandhutvam in relation to social justice and global peace. The seminar concluded with a report presentation by organising secretary Pradeep, highlighting the participation of over 100 scholars from different universities and states.
